The Truth Behind Our Desire For Success
In today's fast progressing world, it would be hard pressed to find anyone who doesn't crave for some form of success in their lives. Success should not be measured by massive capitalists' terms but it should be measured in how we as personable individuals measure success in our own terms. Being able to walk to the shop without gasping at exorbitant prices is also a measure of success. The idea of success should not be determined by external influences, but rather from within our own perceptions of success, and they should never get muddled within the pool of invaluable advice.
Success is a battle that you should enter with your own terms and we should all crave success now matter how little it seems to measure up in the real world. Being able to conquer an obstacle little by little and day by day builds character in all of us and allows us to grow as a person. I think this is one of the most important reasons why we should all crave success. It is not a question about money or power, but the growth of the human spirit and empowerment over mind and body - as well as shattering complacency and making sure that the soul is constantly moving forward in a momentum that breaks barriers and brings excellence in every corner of our existence.
Complacency is the word of the day here and we should all burn it into our minds as hard and as fast as we can. In any form and in measured doses, this is the one thing that is responsible for restraining more than seventy percent of the world's population from realizing their true potential. I would bravely say that most of us are only tapping into less than half of the possibilities that we are capable of and we are just content to settle for the mundanity that we have grown comfortable with. We are no longer hungry, hungry to look for targets to overcome and just want to lay in our patch of grass and enjoy the sunset from afar. There are no more astronauts in the world today, but astronomers who would simply gasp at the magnificence of the stars through the safety of a long lens.
Success drives us and soon when we start to win in our life, we become addicted to the exhiliration of success. Building momentum in our lives, even the most languishing of individuals who are contented in their hovels will have a small spark started in the cavernous depths of their hearts.
The answer to the question is always a yes. Success is important and as soon as we all realise our limited vision that we view success, only then can humanity truly move forward. We should be considered lucky that we don't have to be able to get through a day alive to consider it as a measure of success. Imagine that - being able to preserve life and extending it as far as possible into the day is something to shout about and be proud of. I hope it won't take something so drastic to make us realise how precious life is and how much success is a part of it.
